An accomplished, award-winning graphic designer with over two decades of experience, Kathy has made a lasting impact across a wide variety of creative projects. She graduated in 2001 from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, with a B.A. in Advertising. During that time, she learned the ropes of advertising at Chiat/Day Los Angeles on the Nissan account.
As Senior Art Director at GS&F for six years, Kathy led the Bridgestone Firestone account, spearheading collaborations with high-profile partners like the NFL, MLB, NHL, IndyCar, F1 Racing, and The Home Depot. She was the lead designer for Bridgestone when she transitioned to running her own business.
Kathy is also the co-owner of Mitchell Bat Company, working alongside her husband, Jeremy. Together, they’ve developed marketing materials and collaborated on exciting projects with brands like the Boston Red Sox, San Diego Padres, and Jack Daniel’s.
With a particular focus on book design, Kathy excels at creating striking covers, lettering, and thoughtful interior layouts. Several of the books she's designed have reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list, as well as #1 on Amazon. Her clients include bestselling authors such as Dude Perfect, Joanna Gaines, Taraji P. Henson, Kristin Chenoweth and many others. Kathy is passionate about transforming ideas into visually compelling works of art.
In addition to her work in book design, Kathy is highly skilled in branding and logo design, helping businesses establish distinct, memorable identities. Her creative approach has led to successful branding projects across a variety of industries, ensuring each brand stands out and resonates with its target audience.
When she's not designing, Kathy enjoys life in Nashville, TN, with her husband, three daughters, and their Boston Terrier, Dansby Swanson.
